Levels Magazine
I was briefed to design an off-shoot brand of NME that would focus on telling rich stories from music history, voicing uncommon perspectives on music theory and going in deep about the creative process. The audience would be alternative and experimental music lovers, and creatives of all disciplines. I named the new brand, Levels, to capture the multitude of layers and perspectives the magazine would share. I gave the first edition the theme: “Music with bite” and I wanted a feeling of energy and rebellion to run throughout the cover and inside spread, whilst speaking to music history.
